EUROMEET 2009: eastern washington's 6th annual cruise and show'n'shine!

EUROMEET 2009: eastern washington's 6th annual cruise and show'n'shine!

CRUISE

[li]when:
9:00am saturday, april 18th, 2009

[li]where:
departs from albertson's grocery store, in liberty lake, washington
map of albertsons parking lot
google maps: albertson's parking lot
google maps: cruise route

[li]details: (the things you need to read)
this is a cruise around coeur d alene lake, lasting about 4 hours and covering about 140 miles.
--cruise will make stops at the wolf lodge exit (exit from i90), harrison, and fairfield.
--in past years, we've had lunch in harrison, at their local diner, but have opted against it this year, in order to keep the pace of the cruise going. as a result, we've decided to ask everyone to pack a lunch for the cruise. we'll still eat in harrison, after we park, but with a bit more of a picnic setting, versus the diner.
--an itinerary will be distributed before the cruise, at albertsons, going over the schedule, as well as whatever events may take place afterwards

SHOW'N'SHINE

[li]when:
10:00am, sunday, april 19th, 2009

[li]where:
shadle park, spokane, wa
2050 w. longfellow ave, spokane, wa 99205
map of shadle park parking lot
google maps: shadle park

[li]details:
the show'n'shine is intended to be a very laid back atmosphere. the lot is adjacent to a big park, with many different activities available, and is very family friendly.
--it's asked that each car please bring 2 cans of food (to donate to the spokane food bank)
--there will be no judging of cars
--there is a picnic shelter on site, with public bbq's
--there will be a raffle with prizes that have been donated by our sponsors (proceeds also go to the spokane food bank)

for up to date info, check: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4254846

other info
[li]please keep an eye on this post, as any changes made will be edited here
[li]those folks that are going to make the trek over from the westside, and are interested in hotels and such, please keep an eye on the thread, as we'll update that soon with info
[li]those people that would be interested in crashing with other folks, to save costs, please post up. we've got a few people that are willing to host people, myself included. those people in town, that are willing to host, please post up, and i will add your name to our list of hosts, and those looking for places to crash, please do the same

other activities
[li]there's been talk of a possible dyno session immediately following the cruise. if there's anyone interested in participating, please post up, and as soon as we've something for certain, it will be added to this post.
