Since the season is winding down here and I saw a thread similar to this on SSSCC... I'm wondering what everyone is planning on doing to their cars over the winter and in preparation for next season. Maybe this belongs in the lounge, but w/e.

My current plan is:

Turner Sways, new,
Strut tower bars... wherever I can find them.
X-Brace
Track wheels and DOT slicks... Size is still to be determined, its looking like 245/45R16...
Possibly camber plates if I need a bit more camber to make the tires fit.

Any number of these, including 0 could happen depending on how I spend my loan money.

Two plans:

Plan 1: Go back to my roots and build a 76' 2002 with a m20 stroker(or rebuild a shot m10), and co-drive it with Levi.

Plan 2: Continue to race my e36 m3
Turner sways
Strut Bars
Swap my 3.73 gearing for a 3.38 or 3.46 for higher speed in 2nd gear.
Tune to boost RPM's for higher speeds in 2nd gear.
Run 245's all around with a DOT-R slick, or cut fenders just enough to fit 285/30/18's the ultimate e36 autocross tire size(Trust me a lot of R&D and talking to this years e36 SMOD National champ Mike S went into this to confirm this choice).
Softer Rear springs.
Lightweight thin tube single pipe header back exhaust, no cats, should wiegh in around 30-40 pounds total, vs 120 pound stock catback/midpipe.

Targa Newfoundland (video)

More realistically, put a cage in the car and improve my driving.

That would be an amazing/fun/learning experience you guys should do it!!! I would be interested in knowing how much the whole thing costs, so I can plan to do this after I graduate college.

Newfoundland's entrance is $4400. We're awaiting costs on how much entrance to canadawest will be, as I think the roadtrip across the country to newfoundland is out of the question for now.

Oh... and mods-wise:
Send in my Ground Controls for a rebuild
S52/Schrick Cams
Shark Injector/Tune for said cams
Find vacuum leak in M50 mani
3.46/3.38 diff
Fix headlight tabs (maybe through buying some ZKW's )

Maybe a S/C if a great deal comes around.

Oh, and drive the PISS out of my car this winter

Keep the car stock. Maybe buy lighter wheels and lighter seats. Maintain it.
