In-N-Out Rally – July 9th, 10th, 11th ’10
Welcome to the thread discussing the first annual In-N-Out Rally. I want to emphasize “first annual” because I hope for this rally to be a huge success and become an annual trip for auto enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest. This rally will take us down the Washington, Oregon, and California coastline on Hwy 101, and lead us through the Trinity National Forest via Hwy 299 to the burger lover’s Holy Grail that is In-N-Out in Redding, California.
This is an open invitation event for auto enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest and neighboring states. This has been posted in the northwest section of a few select automotive boards. I hope to have autos from every major market in attendance. Exotics, euros, domestics, etc. This is going to be a 1300 mile adventure that will take place over the course of 3 days. Please have your vehicle prepared for such a trip. Full tank of gas, up to date maintenance, up to date insurance, roadside assistance, 2-way radios, etc.
50 rooms have been held at hotels for our Friday night stop and our Saturday night stop. Group discounted rates have been applied. Stops for lunch have also been arranged for Friday and Saturday, with dinner taking place at our hotel Friday night, and In-N-Out Burger Saturday night. Stops for gas will be up to each individual driver. Participants are welcome to run together in small groups/teams.
I’ll attempt to keep a running tally of those that have reserved rooms and plan to attend as well as what vehicle they’ll be bringing.
I am in no shape, way, or form responsible for the vehicles or participants in this rally. I do advise that those attending follow all applicable traffic laws. By attending this rally, you assume full responsibility for your actions.
It’s not a race, it’s a rally...
In an effort to control how many people attend, please contact me via email or private message so that I can provide you with lodging information. Lodging is on a first come, first serve basis. Lodging is also only available for those staying both Friday night and Saturday night with the group. Food and lodging stops have not been publicly posted so as to prevent random people jumping in along the way. If you’re a resident of Oregon, California, or other neighboring states and wish to meet up with the group, please email or private message me and I’ll provide you with info, but you will be responsible for your own lodging.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Based off the pm's/emails I've received so far, I've got several BMW's, a Ferrari, a Maserati, and a 996 GT3RS confirmed so far. I believe a couple R32-R34 Skyline GTR's will be along as will a NSX. Should be good times. _________________ Double-Double, super-size, and don't forget the fries...

Less than 1.5 months left to get rooms booked. Roughly 50% of the available rooms have been reserved so far. _________________ Double-Double, super-size, and don't forget the fries...

Great news! I’ve spoken with both hotels and they’ve extended the reservation window out to June 21st. Over 20 rooms have been booked at both hotels with multiple cars attached to some of those rooms. That still leaves 20 rooms left at the discounted group rate!

Is this supposed to be a one day drive? That highway gets pretty congested. I'm not sure if it would be a fun, scenic drive, or a big pain in the ass. _________________ E46 turbo |

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand it's all set....
The weaksauce thing is I won't be able to actually attend the rally due to lack of a copilot and limited funds, but I will be at the launch on the 9th to hand out details, directions, etc.
Everything is in place. XXX Rootbeer will be opening an hour early for us. We've got reservations made for lunch stops on Friday and Saturday. In-N-Out is sending me some stuff to hand out and they also plan to do a raffle of some sort once the group arrives the night of the 10th. _________________ Double-Double, super-size, and don't forget the fries...

I hope it's a huge success. |
Meh, we'll see. I just got word from the hotels. 2 or 3 weeks ago we had 24 rooms booked. As of today we have 18. As of tomorrow when I cancel my reservations, we're down to 17 rooms booked. That's still most likely going to be more than 20 cars, but when compared to the initial response, that's nothing. Based on the initial response, I was guessing that I'd have to limit the run to 50 hotel rooms. I have over 100 interested before I even got the whole thing planned out. _________________ Double-Double, super-size, and don't forget the fries...
